Does it mean that you have to be a VIP member in order to view the live streams now? It may seem like a stupid question, but I'm a little confused, can someone let me know?

yes you have to be a VIP... which is like 5-7 dollars a month.

you get live streams, faster downloads, and more.

Yes it is true and it also includes the Video On Demands, which means the replay of show after the show is aired
